Sixty-plus years ager being the first affordable housing African American Community in Hillsborough County, Progress Village is now a Brown Community. Becoming a Brown Community has not changed our commitment to enhancing the livability of the area by establishing and maintaining an open line of communication and liaison between the neighborhood, government agencies, and other neighborhoods. We continue to strive to be a great community by embracing principles and taking concerted action to drive positive change, foster resilience, and create a more vibrant inclusive environment for all residents as we live in our newness of being a Brown Community.
